Remembering Carsen Philip Perl: A Life of Dedication and Love Cut Short
It is with hearts weighed down by grief and love that the Oakwood, Ohio community mourns the loss of Carsen Philip Perl, a beloved son, brother, friend, and skilled electrician whose life was tragically cut short in a fatal accident. At only 21 years old, Carsen’s passing has left family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors grappling with a deep and painful void.
Born on November 21, 2003, to Jennifer (Pessefall) and the late Philip Perl, Carsen grew up grounded in values of loyalty, hard work, and kindness. A proud graduate of Paulding High School, he carried these traits into everything he did — from his personal relationships to his career.
Professionally, Carsen thrived as an electrician at Alliance Automation, earning respect and admiration for his work ethic, reliability, and sharp skills. His easygoing humor, team spirit, and willingness to help made him not only a valued colleague but a friend to many. He approached each task with focus and pride, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked alongside.
A Young Man Who Found Joy in Nature, Family, and Friendship
Outside of work, Carsen’s heart belonged to the outdoors and to the people he loved. He found peace in nature — fishing, hunting, or simply soaking in quiet moments outdoors. He also loved spending time in the shop, tinkering with cars, sharing laughs with his Grandpa Jim, joking with his Uncle Chris, and placing playful bets with his cousin Noah. These simple, joyful gatherings created treasured memories, now turned into precious keepsakes for the family who loved him so deeply.
Carsen shared a special bond with his girlfriend, Asia, with whom he built memories full of joy, dreams, and companionship. His loyal dog, Milo, was rarely far from his side, offering constant comfort and friendship. Family meant everything to Carsen — to his mother, Jennifer, he was a son who brought pride and love; to his siblings, Logan, Mike, and his twin sister Yaya (Alivia), he was a source of laughter, loyalty, and unwavering support.
Honoring a Legacy of Love, Strength, and Connection
Carsen leaves behind a wide circle of loved ones: grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and close friends who will carry his spirit with them always. He now joins in eternal rest with his father, Phil Perl, and other cherished family members who went before him.
Funeral services celebrating Carsen’s life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME in Oakwood, with burial to follow at Sherman Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 5, and Saturday morning before the service.
Though Carsen’s journey was heartbreakingly brief, his impact remains profound. His laughter, generosity, and devotion to those he loved will never fade. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and family devotion — a reminder that a life well-lived is measured not in length, but in love.
