Peggy’s family was her greatest pride. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Asbury Holyfield, Jr., her parents, and several siblings — a circle of loved ones who meant the world to her. She leaves behind her beloved son Tony Holyfield and daughter-in-law Abby, along with her treasured grandson Eli, who brought immense joy and pride to her later years.

The family invites friends to gather on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Moody-Davis Funeral Home for a funeral service celebrating Peggy’s life. The heartfelt thanks of the family go to Dunmore Plantation and Mountain Valley Hospice for their compassionate care during Peggy’s final days — a kindness that eased her journey and comforted her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, supporting others in their moments of need, just as Peggy was supported. Though Peggy’s physical presence has left us, her spirit remains alive in the love she gave so freely and the warmth she created in every life she touched.
