Born in Carroll County in 1935, Ilene lived a life rich with family, friendships, and heartfelt moments. Her unwavering devotion to her husband Vernon and her deep love for her family and animals marked her days with warmth and kindness.
For many years, Ilene brought joy to those around her while working at the Stuart Drug Store, where she loved connecting with everyone she met. She was known for her gentle spirit and welcoming smile, qualities that made her a cherished friend and neighbor.

Ilene’s marriage to Vernon Bolt was a beautiful testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they shared countless hours on the water, boating and fishing—activities that brought them closer and filled their hearts with happiness. The loss of Vernon years ago was deeply felt, but Ilene carried his memory with grace and affection.
Her love extended beyond family to her faithful companion, her cat Tommy, who remained a beloved presence in her life. Ilene’s story is one of compassion, dedication, and a life well-lived through the bonds she nurtured.
Honoring Ilene’s Legacy: A Call for Community Support and Remembrance
As the family prepares to celebrate Ilene’s life on September 6 at Moody Funeral Home, they invite the community to join in honoring a woman who touched many hearts. The service will be a time to reflect on her beautiful spirit, with burial following at Bell Spur Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Clover Cat Rescue, supporting a cause dear to Ilene’s heart and continuing her legacy of kindness toward animals.
