A Life of Kindness Cut Short: Remembering Alyssa Ayn Harris
The Tucson community is heartbroken as it mourns the tragic and untimely loss of Alyssa Ayn Harris, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the young age of 29. Her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Alyssa was known for her radiant kindness, her warm smile, and the quiet strength with which she supported others through life’s challenges.
More than just a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Alyssa was a light in the lives of many. She had a way of making even strangers feel like family and always gave more than she received. Those who were blessed to cross her path often say she had an uncanny ability to lift spirits, even while carrying burdens of her own.
As her family, friends, and loved ones grapple with this devastating loss, they take comfort in knowing that Alyssa’s love and compassion will live on in every life she touched.
A Gentle Soul with a Fierce Love for Life and Others
Alyssa’s passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She was a fierce advocate for animals and children, dedicating her time to causes she truly believed in. Whether it was through volunteering at Reid Park Zoo, helping at Square and Compass Children’s Clinics, or simply being there for someone in need, Alyssa lived with purpose and a profound sense of empathy.
Her friends remember her as the one who always showed up—whether it was with a care package, a late-night text of encouragement, or simply a listening ear. She loved fiercely and without conditions. Her laughter could brighten the darkest days, and her hugs had a way of making people feel safe and loved.
Even in her absence, her legacy of compassion continues to ripple outward, touching lives through stories, memories, and the example she set.
Celebrating a Life That Left Us Too Soon
A Celebration of Life honoring Alyssa Ayn Harris will be held on September 13, 2025, at the Foothills Celebration Center in Tucson. The event will be a gathering of those who knew her best, a space to share memories, laughter, tears, and love in tribute to a remarkable woman gone far too soon.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Alyssa’s memory to Reid Park Zoo or Square and Compass Children’s Clinics—two organizations close to her heart and reflective of the love she had for both animals and children.
Though her time on earth was far too short, Alyssa’s spirit will live on in every act of kindness, every shared smile, and every effort made to love and care for others the way she did.
She may no longer walk beside us, but she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Alyssa—you were truly one of a kind.
