The Escalade implicated in the Northwest Miami-Dade incident is a model from between 2014 and 2020, potentially exhibiting front-end damage, according to deputies.

Tragedy Strikes Miami-Dade: Two Lives Lost in Separate Hit-and-Run Crashes

The Miami-Dade community is reeling from a heartbreaking weekend that claimed the lives of two young individuals in separate hit-and-run incidents. Early Sunday morning, 26-year-old Stefhany Reconco-Rosales was struck by a Cadillac Escalade on Northwest 32nd Avenue. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel who fought desperately to save her life, she tragically succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Barely an hour earlier, 22-year-old Beltazar Antonio was found lifeless in the street on Southwest 187th Avenue, the victim of another hit-and-run crash whose driver remains unidentified. These incidents have left two families shattered and a community demanding answers and justice.

The Silent Cruelty of Fleeing Drivers: The Pain of Loss and Justice Denied

Both Stefhany and Beltazar were victims of the cruelest kind of negligence — drivers who struck pedestrians and chose to flee the scenes rather than offer help or take responsibility. Stefhany’s attacker, driving a black Cadillac Escalade possibly damaged in the collision, vanished into the early morning darkness, leaving rescuers to battle against time to save her. Meanwhile, the vehicle responsible for Beltazar’s death remains unknown, deepening the anguish and uncertainty surrounding his passing.

These hit-and-run tragedies highlight a devastating breach of basic humanity — the refusal to stop, to help, or to face the consequences. Families are left with unbearable grief and unanswered questions, as authorities continue their search for the perpetrators. The community mourns two promising lives lost far too soon, their futures stolen by recklessness and cowardice.

A Call for Justice and Vigilance: The Community’s Plea

As investigations proceed, law enforcement urges anyone with information about these tragic hit-and-run cases to come forward and assist in bringing the responsible drivers to justice. The details known so far paint a grim picture, but the full truth remains just out of reach. These stories are a sobering reminder of the importance of safe driving and the grave consequences when that duty is ignored.

Miami-Dade stands united in grief and hope — grief for Stefhany and Beltazar, and hope that justice will prevail. The community’s heart aches for the families who have lost so much, and their voices now join in demanding accountability. These preventable deaths must not be forgotten, and the hunt for the drivers who fled these scenes will continue until justice is served.
