A Graceful Life Ends in Peace
On Saturday, August 30, 2025, the world lost a gentle soul as Linda Gayle Young, age 85, passed from this life at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, Oklahoma. Born June 24, 1940, in Edgemont, Utah, Linda’s journey was marked by unwavering faith, boundless love, and a lifetime of nurturing those around her.
Linda had made Miami her home since 2006, where she became a beloved part of the community. Her warmth and quiet strength made her a comforting presence in the lives of all who knew her. As a long-time member of Cardin Christian Church, she was known not just for her attendance, but for her generosity, faith, and service to others. Her presence in the pews, her hugs after service, and her words of encouragement will be sorely missed.
A Legacy of Faith, Family, and Love
Linda’s life was rooted in deep values—faith, family, and kindness. She raised three children—two sons and one daughter—with unwavering love, instilling in them a sense of compassion and strength that will carry her legacy forward for generations. Her many grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Those who knew Linda speak of a woman who always put others before herself. Whether it was preparing meals for church functions, visiting sick friends, or offering prayer and a listening ear, she did it all with humility and grace. Her hands were never idle, but her heart was always full.
Even at 85, Linda maintained a deep sense of curiosity, laughter, and grace. Her stories, often rich with wisdom and humor, painted the picture of a life well-lived. She had faced her share of hardship, yet carried herself with strength that inspired everyone who crossed her path.
Honoring a Life That Touched So Many
Now, her family is left to navigate the immense grief of losing their matriarch. Though Linda passed peacefully, the heartbreak is immense. The Young family is leaning on their faith and one another, just as Linda taught them to do. Her memory will forever be engraved in their hearts, in the songs she sang, the prayers she whispered, and the love she gave so freely.
Friends, neighbors, and community members are invited to celebrate Linda’s life and remember her not in sorrow, but with gratitude—for having been blessed to know her. As funeral arrangements are made, the family asks for continued prayers, support, and love during this difficult time.
Let us remember Linda Gayle Young not only for how she left this world—but for how beautifully she lived in it.
